FAQ - Wake Up Well
Q: Why isn't Wake Up Well working properly?
Wear OS may have automatically placed Wake Up Well into the "Sleeping Apps" list, which prevents it from running properly in the background. When this happens, the app cannot monitor your sleep or trigger alarms correctly.
To fix this issue, check your Sleeping Apps list by going to Settings -> Battery -> Sleeping apps (note that not all watch models have this setting). If you find Wake Up Well in this list, remove it immediately to restore full functionality and allow the app to run in the background as needed.
How does the sensitivity setting work?
The sensors of individual watches behave differently as far as sensitivity is concerned.
You can adjust the sensitivity of the sensors with the sensitivity setting in Wake Up Well.
To access it, open Wake Up Well on the watch, scroll all the way up until you see a small arrow at the top. Click on the arrow and select the gear icon. Search for Sensitivity in the list.
The values range is from -4 to 4. The value -4 causes it be be very insensitive, so you'll likely wake up in the end of the wake up window. As oposite, the value 4 is most sensitive so that you may wake up too early.
Why doesn't Wake Up Well show the alarm screen when it vibrates?
This is due to Wear OS security restrictions that prevent apps from automatically displaying screens when they're running in the background. Wake Up Well cannot bypass this system limitation to show the alarm screen spontaneously.

The most convenient solution is to add a Wake Up Well complication to your watch face:
- Choose a watch face that supports complications
- Add the Wake Up Well complication to your watch face
- When the alarm vibrates, simply tap the complication to open the alarm screen
Recommended watch face: "Analog Watch Face" by Vladimir Jovanovic
- Search for "Vladimir" in the Play Store's Watch Face section
- Offers good complication support for easy access
Option 2: Use the Notification Panel
When your alarm activates:
- Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the notification panel
- Tap on the Wake Up Well notification to access the alarm controls
Both methods provide quick access to stop or snooze your alarm when it goes off.
